About the Role
The role of a Volunteer Social Companion Dog Visitor is to provide regular social visits to a client living in Caboolture South. During these visits, you and your friendly dog will take short walks around the client's home and engage in conversation about shared interests.
Key Responsibilities:
* To participate in weekly social meetings with the client
* To bring your friendly, calm dog along on visits to share the joy of pet ownership with the client
* To take short walks with the client around their care home
* To be a kind and helpful presence for both the client and their carers
About You:
* You are able and willing to commit to regular social visits
* You have a friendly, down-to-earth attitude and are passionate about helping others
* You are a great listener and communicator
* You hold a current NDIS WSC (Yellow card) or are willing to apply for one
About Your Dog:
* Your dog is friendly, calm, and well-trained
* Your dog loves people and enjoys being petted and fawned over by a fellow dog lover
