ASIC is seeking dynamic and dedicated professionals for two key roles:
* Manager, Regulatory Debt Management
* Manager, Financial Operations, Treasury, and Taxation
Position details:
* EL1, Permanent roles
* Locations: Traralgon, Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra (other locations considered)
* Salary: $123,444 to $144,386 plus 15.4% superannuation (depending on experience)

The team
The Enterprise Services Group supports ASIC through Finance, Procurement, Property and Contracts, Performance Reporting and Planning, and the ERP Program, providing advice and analysis services across the organization.
The roles
EL1 - Manager, Regulatory Debt Management
Manage a team overseeing debt management of regulatory revenue, ensuring compliance with ASIC policies and government guidance. Provide expertise on debt legislation including the Fees for Services Acts, PGPA Act, ASIC Supervisory Cost Recovery Levy, and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme Levy. Oversee Administered Debt Management processes and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Develop team capabilities through mentoring, coaching, and managing productivity. Make decisions on complex fee reviews and complaints, coordinate investigations, and respond to stakeholder inquiries, applying sound judgment.
About you:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or related fields; professional membership (CPA, CA, CIMA) is advantageous. Proven ability to present complex information, resolve stakeholder queries, and provide specialist advice. Strong business writing and verbal communication skills are essential. You will support and coach team members, analyze complex issues, and interpret legislation to deliver impactful results.
EL1 - Manager, Financial Operations, Treasury and Taxation
Lead a team responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, and taxation functions. Provide strategic advice and financial support to senior management, manage ASIC's tax obligations, court cost recoveries, and stakeholder relationships, including with the Reserve Bank of Australia. Ensure compliance, effective governance, and monitor financial risks.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as the ATO and ANAO to align financial operations with ASIC’s strategic goals. Contribute to governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Make strategic, problem-solving, and impactful decisions to support ASIC’s mission.
About you:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional membership are highly desirable. Experience in leading finance teams in complex environments, providing high-quality advice, and stakeholder engagement are essential. Strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills are required. Bring initiative, innovation, and problem-solving skills, and be adaptable to changing priorities while thinking strategically.
