About the Role
As a highly skilled professional, you will play a key role in shaping NSW's response to climate change in agriculture.
* Lead a research and development team focused on driving practical solutions to reduce emissions across the agriculture sector.
* Support landholders in adopting low-emissions practices and provide evidence-based policy advice to government on emissions reduction and renewable energy opportunities in agriculture.
* Play a key role in delivering strategic programs that align with the NSW Government's Net Zero agenda, supporting the sector to adapt and thrive in a changing climate.
About You
* Proven experience leading, mentoring and supervising professional and technical staff.
* Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Sound understanding of climate change and primary industries.
Requirements
* Degree or post-graduate qualifications in climate, agriculture or science-based disciplines.
* Current driver's license.
* Compliance with pre-employment probity screening is mandatory and a condition of engagement.
