Park Avenue State School is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Head of Special Education Services to join the team. This is a temporary vacancy commencing 27 April 2026 until 26 June 2026 unless otherwise determined.
The Head of Special Education Services leads both the ECDP team in their service delivery and the primary school's inclusion team to support adjustments and differentiation for students with disability.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
The Perfect Fit
* Knowledge of special school applications processes, ability to lead and manage teams, flexibility, strong communication skills
* Ability to communicate effectively, ability to liaise with external stakeholders
Step Into Your Next Chapter
* Manage and coordinate the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program.
* Lead and manage the Special Education Program and/or Early Childhood Development Program to provide advice to classroom teachers for students with disability as needed.
* Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
* Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
* Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.
