Based in Brisbane, Optus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Architect to join our team. The Consulting Architect will play a crucial role in both contributing to and leading solution development. This role involves collating inputs from Solution Designers and Solution Architects to create comprehensive solution overviews and Business Cases.
Your day in the life of a Consulting Architect at Optus
* Apply a commercial lens to technical solutions to ensure they are viable and profitable.
* Work closely with Delivery and Operations teams to ensure solutions are supportable and meet governance requirements.
* Provide guidance to account teams on solution components to ensure overall profitability.
* Engage with customers to build strong working relationships and represent Optus solutions.
* Work hand in hand with sales teams on customer engagement.
* Act as a pivot point between sales/pre-sales and Delivery, Operations, and Commercial teams.
* Represent customers' technical requirements to Optus as a whole.
Your skills to pay the bills
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
* Excellent customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
* Solid technical design and solutions deliverable experience.
* Qualified in relevant IT/engineering subject area.
* Broad-based ICT/Telecommunications systems design background with detailed understanding of enterprise-wide system architecture and service management methodologies.
* Subject matter expert in at least 3 Telco/ICT domains: Mobility, IoT, SDWAN, EX, CX, Security, Core telco.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to apply a commercial perspective to technical solutions.
