Job Title: Management Accountant
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to the financial operations of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, with detailed commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
Perform variance analysis on actuals versus budgets and forecasts for revenue, cost of sales, and operating expenses.
Collaborate closely with sales and licensing teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment for software sales, services, and deferred revenue.
Support the preparation of yearly budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of accounting policies, internal controls, and process improvements.
Provide general administrative and financial support, including assistance with onboarding new staff, office operations, and timesheet management.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration (CPA/CA qualifications desirable). A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and business administration roles is also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems such as NetSuite (or similar) is essential.
Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, are necessary for success in this position. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams, are also critical.
