A growing, privately held investment business is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performing environment and is excited to take ownership of a variety of tasks while working closely with an experienced finance function.

THE ROLE
* Perform bank reconciliations across multiple entities
* Process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
* Assist with monthly reporting and updating financial workpapers
* Set up payments in banking platforms
* Assist with broker trail and investor distributions
* Maintain and update the loan register
* Support BAS preparation and audit processes
* Handle investor transactions (fund allocations, redemptions, holdings transfers)
* Contribute to year-end financial reports and assist external auditors
* Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and documentation
THE PERSON
* Experience in accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping
* Comfortable with a high volume of transactions
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
* A proactive communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Collaborative, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high-quality work
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) essential
* Experience with MYOB is desirable but not essential
