About The Client
Our client delivers comprehensive mining, civil construction and site services, including earthworks, concrete, maintenance and facilities support, supporting major resource operations across Western Australias Pilbara region
About The Position
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to support a major earthworks project, In this role, you will assist the Operations Manager in planning and executing civil roadworks projects. Youll support project planning, scheduling, forecasting, and technical delivery while ensuring quality and compliance across all engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering tasks
Assist with forecasting project costs, revenue, and margins
Interpret client needs and represent them on site
Conduct quality control on budgets, schedules, plans, and team performance
Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to optimise project methods
Review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions when required
Develop specifications for required project equipment
Create frameworks for collecting and analysing project metrics
Establish field test methods and monitor test quality
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications
Maintain strong onsite safety compliance practices
Monitor design changes and assess impacts on cost and schedule
Skills And Experience Required
Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related discipline
3+ years experience in field engineering and project planning
Experience in mining or mining services environments
Excellent written and verbal communication
Understanding of relevant codes, policies, and engineering standards
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract requirement
Proven ability to deliver works to contract and quality standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and relevant project software
Rio Tinto induction (desirable)
