The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to apply your database expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You'll play a vital role in designing, maintaining, and optimising SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and other database flavours that support critical business operations. Working closely with project teams, you'll contribute to data design, migrating to cloud solutions including AWS RD, and management while ensuring compliance with government and industry standards.
About You
You're a proactive and analytical professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and confident working both independently and in a team, you take ownership of outcomes and deliver results on time. You bring strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, adapt well to change, and maintain a customer-focused approach in all you do. Experience in SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and hybrid AWS environments highly desirable.
Special Conditions
* A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
* A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry
* Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Remuneration
ASO5 - $85,790 to $95,413 pa + superannuation
