Retail Store Manager - Specialist Paint and Render Supplies
Network Render & Paint is a specialist trade & retail establishment that supplies premium paint, rendering systems, related tools, and accessories primarily to the trade sector and sophisticated DIY customers. Our regular activities include retail merchandising, providing expert product consultancy, processing high-volume B2B and consumer sales, and managing stock replenishment.
We are currently seeking a motivated Retail Manager to join our retail team. The core purpose of this position is to lead and manage all retail sales floor operations for the Network Render & Paint store at Tempe, focusing on staff management, inventory control, and the delivery of high-level customer service to maximise retail sales revenue and profitability.
The Retail Store Manager will manage the front-of-house operations, focusing on the following core retail management duties:
Retail Strategy and Planning: Determining the appropriate product merchandising layout, optimising stock levels on the retail floor, and establishing high standards for customer engagement and service delivery within the retail area.
Sales Policy and Pricing: Formulating and implementing retail pricing strategies for promotional items, overseeing markdowns, and executing local sales campaigns to drive volume and manage retail turnover.
In-Store Promotion and Advertising: Directly managing and coordinating in-store promotional displays and retail signage to support sales and highlight key retail products.
Sales Team Leadership: Coaching the sales team on product features and customer service standards to improve sales, overseeing daily sales activities, and providing product advice to high-level retail customers and guiding them on suitable purchasing options based on their needs.
Inventory Control and Auditing: Maintaining daily retail records of sales, returns, and exchanges, performing frequent stocktakes, and ensuring accurate financial transaction reporting from the POS systems.
Retail Budget Management: Managing routine operating expenses for the retail store and monitoring costs within the approved budget.
Staff Supervision and Performance: Managing the day-to-day supervision of all retail sales assistants, conducting performance reviews, and coordinating ongoing product knowledge training for the team.
OHS and Store Environment: Ensuring the retail environment and customer access areas strictly comply with all occupational health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe, clean, and appealing shopping environment
Sales Performance: Monitoring sales performance and analysing retail data to support operational decisions and improve store outcomes.
The job will be full-time.
Successful applicants must have:
* Previous experience in retail management
* Proven ability to manage visual merchandising and store layout to optimise customer flow and promotional effectiveness.
* Proficient in using Electronic Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail inventory management software.
* Strong emphasis on maintaining and improving retail customer loyalty and satisfaction.
