Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, replacing, and refurbishing conveyor belt, rollers and roller frames.
- Handling steel cord, fabric, and woven belts.
- Managing conveyor belt systems and related components, including roller frames, skirting systems, belt cleaner systems, conveyor belt tracking units, and chutes.
- Operating conveyor vulcanizing and belt handling equipment.
- Repairing and maintaining conveyor belts and associated components.
- Reporting to the supervisor/LH regarding any breakdown and potential risks and safety concerns.
Job requirements:
1.Essential:
- Prior relevant conveyor experience in all splicing, repairs, belt change outs, inserts, re-splices, equipment operation and shutdown preparation.
- Well-developed verbal/written communication and interpersonal.
- Demonstrated ability to safely manage a variety of tasks and achieve effective and timely outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Actively seek out ideas for continuous improvement.
- Provide a satisfactory National Police Check certificate.
- Have an ability to pass a full pre-employment medical test and Drug and Alcohol Screening.
- Full Australian working rights (Visa, or permanent residency or citizenship).
2.Desirable:
- Certificate III in Polymer Processing.
- Current Full Australian Driver’s Licence.
- High Risk Work License, Gas Test, Work Safely at Heights, Work in Confined Spaces
- Days, Nights and Weekends Available.
