Rail Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Specialist
Maintain and repair a modern fleet of rail vehicles, working in a continental shift pattern (6 am – 6 pm or 6 pm – 6 am).
As a Senior Rail Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on rail vehicles. This includes diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
You will also be expected to carry out pre-use checks on tools and equipment, support tasks such as topping up fuel and sand levels, and adhere to engineering standards and procedures.
A key requirement is to maintain accurate documentation and asset-management records.
Requirements:
1. A qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician with experience in heavy maintenance (HGV, aerospace, marine, plant machinery, armed forces, REMEs).
2. Strong problem-solving skills and pride in craftsmanship.
3. Ability to pass a basic DBS check, a Drugs & Alcohol test, and a full rail medical.
Benefits:
* A competitive salary range of £45,000 – £50,000 and potential to earn up to £60,000 with overtime and competencies.
