From accounting to strategic support, they work across the business to assess risk, guide decisions, and drive growth. Their insight shapes everything from daily operations to long‐term plans and plays a key role in how we scale.We're looking for a tech‐savvy, results‐oriented CFO to assist the CEO in leading ongoing and steady growth in New Zealand. You'll introduce new features to the local market and guide our transition toward a banking model.You'll manage and coordinate all aspects of finance, from financial control and trading to accounting, tax, and treasury. We need someone with vision and ideas who will roll up their sleeves and get involved to tackle any challenge.If you have an entrepreneurial mindset and are looking to make an impact by driving Revolut's financial performance, let's get in touch.What You'll Be DoingLeading accounting, as well as financial and regulatory reportingOverseeing treasury and local balance sheet managementProviding commercial and operational management information to support rapid expansionAdvising the business whilst overseeing the day‐to‐day finance operationsUnderstanding and communicating financial performance, risks, and financial management to leadership and advisory boardIdentifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processDriving an increase in overall financial performanceAssuming responsibility for taxation and regulatory reporting requirements required locally to ensure complianceBeing the point of contact for regulatory and compliance enquiriesPerforming risk management functions by overseeing liabilities and investmentsDeciding on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risksControlling and evaluating fundraising plans and capital structureEnsuring cash flow is appropriate to support operationsProviding support to external consultants, and managing timely and effective auditsManaging the NZ treasury function and ensuring all capital liquidity functions are metWhat You'll Need10+ years of experience in a financial leadership role within bankingA solid understanding of a bank's balance sheet, key regulatory ratios, accounting of securities portfolios, loans, and hedge accounting principlesExpertise in FP&A and forecasting to enhance regional sophistication around trends and future opportunitiesThe ability to build a bank's PnL and balance sheet (with key ratios) model from scratchTo be a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queriesA positive "can do" attitude and willingness to give everything a go, from manual processing to larger projectsExcellent knowledge of relevant regulations and regulatory bodies in New ZealandAn entrepreneurial driveA background in accounting, treasury/risk, or investment bankingExcellent communication and project management skillsThe ability to prioritise workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressureExperience recruiting and leading a team of senior finance professionalsA demonstrated ability to think and reason logicallyNice to haveStartup experience, or the agility to adapt to a rapidly‐growing environmentBuilding a global financial super app isn't enough.
