We are looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team at Shiels Group. This is a hands‐on leadership role, actively contributing to design output, managing a small team, and setting the standard for everything we produce across print, digital and in‐store.
The role sits at the heart of a busy retail marketing team and suits someone who is equally comfortable producing high‐volume catalogue work as they are mentoring a designer or leading a conversation with a print supplier. The Role
Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, you will lead and personally contribute to creative production across all campaigns and channels. You will manage a small team, maintain brand consistency across the group, and play an active role in how we plan, produce and deliver creative work.
* Designing and building catalogue layouts and POS artwork in InDesign, personally contributing to the production workload across each cycle
* Planning and coordinating the end‐to‐end print schedule, from briefing through to press‐ready files and supplier handover
* Managing relationships with external print suppliers, including specifications, proofing rounds and press checks
* Producing digital assets for the website and paid ads that are consistent with the broader campaign creative
* Managing and developing the Graphic Designer and Photographer, providing clear direction, regular feedback and ongoing support
* Working closely with the Buying, Marketing and Store teams to manage campaign delivery and general creative requests
* Contributing to our exploration of automation tools and partnerships to improve our workflows
* Maintaining brand guidelines to ensure consistency at every touchpoint
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* 5+ years' experience in graphic design, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
* Expert‐level InDesign skills. This is a non‐negotiable requirement and a daily tool in this role
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines across concurrent projects
* Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across print and digital design
* Collaborative working style and the ability to build strong relationships
Highly regarded:
* Experience in a retail or similar fast‐paced environment
* Familiarity with photography workflows and image preparation
* Strengths in Adobe Suite and automation tools
