Role overview 
An exciting opportunity to join our CFO & Strategy division, managing finance and reporting systems, product costing processes and driving continuous improvement across all areas of finance. The role leads a small internal and offshore team with enterprise-wide focus to support end of month closures, system closures, internal profitability segmenting, and costing processes. The role may involve business partnering in support of new opportunities, restructures and operational execution changes to ensure finance systems and processes reflect these activities. Master data management, whole of finance function support and development, process management and troubleshooting are key aspects to ensure Aurizon’s systems are functional and effective. 
Responsibilities 
- Provide expert advice to business units and support functions by explaining key cost drivers and allocation methodologies (direct and indirect). Facilitate consensus and agreement across stakeholders to ensure transparency and consistency in financial allocations. 
- Lead the calculation, allocation, and management of costs for key operational assets. Oversee allocation processes between business units and support functions to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of policies, systems and processes. 
- Partner with the Information Technology department to uphold strong data governance standards. This includes maintaining policies, standardising data definitions and naming conventions, and monitoring data quality to support accurate and reliable Business Intelligence reporting. 
- Oversee the team’s compliance with group finance obligations and foster effective relationships with both internal and external audit functions to support accountability and transparency. 
About you 
You are an experienced Finance Manager, with expertise in financial analysis, operational stakeholder management and complex financial modelling. You can build strong networks with the ability to influence and present at all levels. Your financial literacy is matched by your solid SAP experience. 
Qualifications 
- Tertiary qualification in a finance related discipline (Mandatory). 
- Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) (Mandatory). 
- Minimum 5+ years SAP experience (Preferred).
