About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to lead our culinary team at Beachstreet Co's vibrant restaurant located on the riverfront.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and mentor a team of passionate chefs and kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
* Develop and refine seasonal menus incorporating locally sourced, fresh ingredients.
* Oversee efficient and cost-effective kitchen operations including inventory management and food waste reduction.
* Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Foster a positive, collaborative work environment in the kitchen.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.
* Formal culinary training and a recognized chef's qualification.
* Exceptional culinary skills and ability to create innovative dishes.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities.
* Passion for sustainable food production and using locally sourced ingredients.
