Lead major civil projects in Darwin with a top-tier salary, full relocation support, clear career growth, and a business that's delivering real impactAbout the Role You'll play a lead role in precontracts across major civil infrastructure projects, supporting the strategic direction of the business and working closely with senior stakeholders across delivery, commercial and engineering.Manage end-to-end estimating for complex civil infrastructure projects including defence, roads, bridges, bulk earthworks and utilitiesBuild detailed first principles estimatesLead bid strategy discussions with senior leadership and provide accurate and timely cost adviceLiaise with engineering teams to review technical inputs and ensure buildability and cost efficiencyConduct market analysis and engage with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricingPrepare and present tender submissions, cost reports, and risk registers for internal reviewProvide mentoring and support to junior estimatorsAbout You You're a commercially astute civil professional with the ability to operate across both the technical and strategic sides of estimating. You might already be an established Estimator or be working in project delivery and ready to step into a more commercial role.Proven experience in civil construction across infrastructure sectors such as roads, structures, transport, or utilitiesStrong understanding of first principles estimating and tendering processesAble to interpret drawings, technical specs, and project documentation with confidenceComfortable preparing detailed cost breakdowns and clearly communicating commercial risks and opportunitiesExperience engaging with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop accurate pricingBackground in either precontracts or project deliveryExcellent communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast‐paced, high‐stakes environmentOpen to relocation and excited by the opportunity to take on more ownership and influenceThis is the kind of role that doesn't come up often.
