As Treasurer, you'll play a key role in managing the toy library's finances, including:
* Keeping accurate financial records (using Xero and spreadsheets).
* Processing payments, invoices, and reimbursements (all online banking).
* Preparing simple financial reports for committee meetings.
* Assisting with budgeting and grant applications.
* Working with the committee to ensure financial sustainability.
* Working with an accountant to prepare the End of Year Report.
* Completing the yearly Charities Report.
Many of our previous volunteers have found the skills they have learned at the toy library valuable to enhance their CVs. It has also given them the confidence to return to the workforce as their children have grown older and gone to school.
This role is very flexible and can fit around your daily routines.

Time Required Time required 5-10 hours per month (varies according to the time of year. It is slightly busier when doing the yearly Charities Report, working with accountant to produce End of Year Accounts. Most of the work can be done from home when it suits your routine.)
Training Training will be provided by the present Treasurer who is happy to stay on until you feel comfortable taking over the role. The toy library uses Mibase (toy library system software), Xero for accounting records and Thankyou Payroll for paying the wages.
