As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and operational performance of retail stores, wholesale operations, and warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
* Retail & customer operations:
o Lead the daily retail function (in-store and online) and ensure high customer service standards.
o Provide specialized product advice on beekeeping equipment and machinery.
o Oversee after-sales support, warranty enquiries, and customer follow-up.
* Inventory & warehouse management:
o Manage end-to-end stock control, including quality checks, warehousing, dispatch, and stocktakes.
o Coordinate with suppliers and freight partners to maintain stock availability.
o Ensure accurate picking, packing, and order fulfillment for retail and wholesale customers.
* People leadership:
o Supervise, train, and roster retail, warehouse, and after-sales staff.
o Conduct onboarding, performance discussions, and development planning.
* Compliance & governance:
o Ensure compliance with WHS, retail, workplace relations, and company procedures.
o Maintain accurate reporting, cash handling, and internal audit standards.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Retail leadership:
o Minimum 5 years' experience in retail or operations management.
o Proven ability to run a busy store autonomously with full responsibility for daily operations.
o Strong background in inventory management, warehousing, and customer service.
o Experience supervising teams, recruitment, rostering, and performance management.
o Strong compliance understanding (WHS, retail laws, workplace relations).
o Solid computer skills (POS, stock systems, Excel/ERP).
* Specialist machinery & product knowledge:
o Minimum 5 years' experience with industrial beekeeping machinery and equipment sales, preferably European-made.
o Ability to explain high-capacity machinery used in commercial apiaries, including 60/80/100/120-frame extractors, uncapping machines, deboxers, wax melters & wax-processing line concepts, pumps & drive systems (e.g. INVT, WEG).
o Strong product knowledge to guide customers.
o Understanding of machinery integration within commercial beekeeping workflows.
