Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electronics Engineer, located in Perth, WA. As an Electronics Engineer at Orbital UAV, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic circuits, performing testing and validation of electronic systems, and collaborating with the R&D team to innovate and improve UAV engine systems. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our products.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
Technical Expertise & Experience
* Experience in Power Electronics and Switching Power Supplies
* Significant experience with PCB design software such as Altium, Fusion360, Eagle or similar.
* Ability to support the mechanical design of electronics enclosures, fixtures and hardware is very beneficial.
* Use of industry-standard tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, Git and/or SVN.
* Understanding of embedded microprocessor systems such as STM32, ESP32, PIC or Arduino.
* Familiarity with CAN bus, serial, I2C, SPI and other communications protocols.
* A strong understanding of EMC/EMI principles and good-practice design considerations.
* Demonstrated prior experience in designing products for manufacture (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
* Excellent analytical skills with the capability to design and execute component and system-level testing at an aerospace level.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
* Experience in the UAV or automotive industry is desirable.
