About the Opportunity
Working within a dynamic and close-knit team of experienced Solicitors and Senior Solicitors, the successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of advice to the State about matters including environmental protection, climate change, planning and development, housing supply, biosecurity, water resources and more. Successful applicants will have opportunities to act as solicitor and counsel in environmental prosecutions, administrative appeals and judicial reviews, and to contribute to law reform for the benefit of future generations.
About the Business
The Crown Solicitor's Office (CSO) provides legal services to government specifically to Ministers, departments and other public sector agencies. Within the Commercial, Environment, and Native Title Section (CENT), Solicitors provide legal services in relation to the full range of the government's commercial and land related activities and their environmental, planning and native title aspects. This includes providing legal advice, negotiation and document preparation on major government commercial projects.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

* Must be eligible to possess a practicing certificate within South Australia (including an unrestricted certificate at the LEC4 or LEC5 classification level).
