We have an outstanding opportunity for experienced Electricians to join our team. Based at our East Rockingham office and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this position will support ongoing business and growth in the maintenance and refurbishment of electrical equipment on site in East Rockingham and across our company/client sites. Critical is the ability to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and components, locate the cause of a breakdown, report and repair under indirect supervision in a timely and cost-effective manner to minimise equipment down time. These are no ordinary electrician roles – you need to be passionate about the industry, have a drive to succeed and deliver world class service to both internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful, you will need to ensure all electrical maintenance solutions comply with relevant Electrical Australian Standards and local regulations. Problem solving, trouble shooting and identifying continuous improvement solutions are also part of this position.

Key responsibilities
- Undertake and complete preventative, predictive and breakdown electrical plant and portable equipment maintenance
- Test and tag electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Undertake and complete disassembling, installation and upgrades of plant and equipment as required
- Lead initiatives in reducing downtime and drive continuous improvement solutions
- Utilise SAP to maintain records and plan maintenance activities
What you need / Qualifications
The successful candidate will be able to utilise their electrical trade knowledge and expertise with testing, inspection, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical components associated with equipment and fixtures in the manufacturing plant and on company and client sites.
Key requirements for the position are:
- Trade Qualified Electrician - Electrical Trade Certificate / Licence (A Grade License)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mining / industrial environment (heavy industry)
- Minimum of 2 years in a Mining environment completing electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on manufacturing plant and machinery
- Experience working with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence
- Previous Switchboard manufacturing experience
- High level knowledge of safety requirements, safe work practices for performing electrical work to AS standards and electrical compliance regulations
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- Willingness to travel and work away from home, overnight to fulfil the requirements of the position. Travel will include air and road travel locally and interstate
- Completed confined space training within the last 2 years (highly desirable)
- Fork Lift licence (highly desirable)
- Hold Full Australian work rights
