About the role
King Street Meat Co. is seeking an experienced Butcher to join our team in Redcliffe, Queensland. This full-time position is an integral part of the butchery, renowned for providing high-quality meats and exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing, cutting, and packaging a variety of meats to the highest standards
2. Providing expert advice and recommendations to customers on meat selection and preparation
3. Maintaining a clean, well-organised work environment and following food safety protocols
4. Assisting with inventory management and product ordering
5. Mentoring and training junior members of the butchery team
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Butcher, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
2. Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and food safety regulations
3. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide expert advice
4. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
5. A genuine passion for the butchery trade and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
