The Opportunity
SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Systems and Compliance Specialist to join our highly professional and skilled WHS team. This is a diverse and fast-paced fulltime role based predominantly at our Helensvale head office. You'll work closely with site teams across the business to deliver exceptional results safely.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the General Manager – Safety, this role supports both the WHS and Operational teams to maintain a high standard of WHS system utilisation. The position is responsible for updating and maintaining system requirements in line with legislative changes, supporting ISO certification and OFSC accreditation compliance and readiness, and assisting the business to simplify safety management systems, IMS requirements, and standardise WHS practices across all divisions.
Essential Skills and Attributes
* Demonstrated experience in Work Health and Safety systems management, compliance, or assurance roles within health, construction, civil, infrastructure, fleet, or similar high-risk industries (e.g. Mining, Oil & Gas).
* Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable Federal and State legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
* Knowledge of OFSC Accreditation requirements and experience supporting compliance and audit readiness.
* Proven experience administering and maintaining WHS management systems (e.g. Hammertech or equivalent), including system governance, configuration, and continuous improvement.
* Experience in supporting ISO management systems, particularly ISO 45001, including audit preparation, corrective action management, and certification readiness.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Tertiary qualification – Information Technology, Heath, Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Management or similar (desirable)
* RAB QSA / Exemplar Global Audit Qualification or equivalent
* Australian drivers licence
