Job Description
A Junior Cost Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing finance and accounting methods, practices, and procedures of projects. They prepare financial assessments, maintain accounting records, and generate reports to enable senior management to make informed decisions. This position involves analyzing and interpreting statistical and accounting data for management decision-making, compiling monthly project reports, and reviewing operating results, costs, budgets, and operating policies. Additionally, they support the development and implementation of financial policies and plans, monitor outstanding debtors, audit project wage employee remuneration, and compile forecast information to assess the final financial position of projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a CPA or equivalent tertiary qualification in accounting, as well as tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce/Statistics, or a relevant discipline. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience, preferably in construction, mining, or defense, is also required. Familiarity with databases and basic computer literacy skills are essential.About You
