About the Role:
Join a local council maintenance team as a Footpath & Relief Road Sweeper, contributing to the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of public spaces. You will play an important role in maintaining streets, footpaths, medians, and railway subways, helping to enhance the local environment for the community.

$37.28 phr + super
Shift
Night shift, 1:30am – 10:30am, Monday to Friday (penalty rates apply)
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate footpath sweepers, scrubbers, portable air blowers, and hot water pressure gurneys as required
* Perform street and footpath sweeping, median cleaning, litter and leaf removal, and minor maintenance of bins and seats.
* Monitor and report road maintenance issues, ensuring public infrastructure remains safe and functional.
* Undertake daily operational tasks, including plant checks, fuel, lubrication, and maintenance of equipment.
* Follow OH&S procedures at all times, using appropriate personal protective equipment.
* Work collaboratively as part of a crew, demonstrating reliability, efficiency, and attention to quality standards.
Essential Criteria:
* Current Victorian MR Truck Licence highly preferred.
* Experience operating road and footpath cleaning equipment or the like.
* Knowledge of OH&S and safe working practices, including working in traffic and manual handling.
* Physically capable of performing outdoor manual labour, operating machinery, and using tools and equipment safely.
* Comfortable working night shifts (1:30am – 10:30am), Monday to Friday, with penalty rates applicable.
Desirable but not essential:
* Knowledge of street sweeper operation.
* Truck-mounted crane certificate, Level 2 First Aid, and manual handling training.
