Engineering Apprentice Position
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply mechanical principles across various plant equipment and machinery.
* Assist with preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
* Support the team in carrying out corrective maintenance and repairs when issues occur.
* Gain hands-on experience in pneumatics and hydraulics systems.
* Develop skills in machining techniques using lathes, mills, and other workshop equipment.
* Work alongside experienced tradespeople to understand fault-finding and troubleshooting processes.
* Follow safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
* Complete Cert III in Mechanical Engineering Trade while actively participating in on-the-job learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A genuine interest in mechanics and engineering.
* Safety-conscious with an eye for detail and commitment to quality work.
* Hands-on and curious, eager to develop skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and machining.
* Team-oriented, able to work with and learn from experienced tradespeople.
* Reliable, motivated, and committed to completing their apprenticeship training.
* Completed or currently completing Year 12 schooling.
* Interest in mechanics, maintenance, or engineering.
* Willingness to undertake a formal mechanical trade apprenticeship.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
