Job Description
Join Westpac as a Credit Manager in the Regional Commercial & Agribusiness sector. You will support customers by making informed credit decisions to enable sustainable growth, working independently from relationship management to assess transactions, structure deals, and manage credit risk.
What's the role?
You will review and approve credit submissions within your delegated authority, support more complex deals, monitor your portfolio, identify emerging risks, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders interpreting credit policy. This is a full‐time permanent role with flexible working arrangements across Australia, requiring two days in the office.
Responsibilities

* Support more complex deals through the approval process, balancing risk and opportunity.
* Monitor portfolio to identify emerging risks and proactively protect credit quality.
* Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, interpreting and applying credit policy.
What do I need?
* Strong credit judgement, commercial thinking, and ability to navigate complex lending decisions.
* Experience assessing and structuring credit deals, ideally in business and agribusiness lending.
* Ability to interpret and apply credit policies in a practical, real‐world way.
* Strong stakeholder relationships and communication skills to influence decisions.
* Proactive portfolio management to identify risks and maintain credit quality.
* Organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
