The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join our Cargill Agriculture & Supply Chain team either in Dubbo, NSW or Toowoomba, QLD with the option to be remote and reporting to the National Origination Manager, in this key role you will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with targeted customers, identifying business needs and positioning AWB solutions to satisfy the unmet needs of these customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Territory Manager is accountable for grain origination activities, identifying, developing and closing sales from targeted grower customers across the respective region.
You will proactively build and maintain relationships with growers and intermediaries across your region, working with the grower customers to understand selling patterns and crop conditions to enable you to meet volume targets, whilst looking for opportunities to grow our business.
Working collaboratively within the AWB Origination Team and wider Cargill business, you will assist in maximising overall commercial outcomes. This will be achieved by developing and executing the strategy in the region sharing market intelligence with colleagues across Australia allowing you to influence and shape our Origination strategy and supporting our asset base. Key Accountabilities
Help identify, develop and typically close new sales.
Create demand for products and services by raising their profile with customers.
Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of customers' business and needs
Create customer opportunities and satisfy customers through sound account management to achieve sustainable business growth
Manage customer relationships as the foundation for origination of grain and oilseeds, with a specific focus on maximizing volume through the Cargill asset footprint.
Participate in regular status and strategy meetings with customers' senior management to understand and meet their needs.
Execute sales plans with strategies to protect, grow and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
Independently handle complex issues with mínimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications Proven ability to develop long term relationships Excellent interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, self-directed, and requiring mínimal supervision/guidance/structure 5 years' tertiary education or equivalent experience 5 years' experience in the grain industry or related sales and marketing positions Ability to work effectively within a team. Capable of delivering innovation. Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to influence decision-making. Exemplary honesty and ethical business conduct
