Role Overview
The role of Sessional Academic is an exciting opportunity for experienced academics to contribute to the development of passionate, profession-ready teachers. The School seeks expressions of interest from individuals with subject matter expertise in Health and Physical Education, Primary Teaching, Science, or Practicum Supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct tutorials/lectures to a high standard, preparing lesson plans and facilitating group discussions to enhance student engagement.
* Consult with students on readings, weekly topics, and upcoming assessments.
* Assist with assessment administration, including marking, entering results, and providing feedback.
* Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator.
* Identify students at risk through thorough tutorial attendance recording.
Skills and Qualifications
* Subject matter expertise in one or more areas of Health and Physical Education, Primary Teaching, Science, or Practicum Supervision.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to prepare engaging lesson plans and facilitate effective learning environments.
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
