Conservation Fire Management Role
This exciting opportunity is part of our efforts to protect and conserve Australia's unique wildlife and landscapes.
* As a key member of our team, you will assist in the management of our fire programs, including fire planning, works programming, work standards, liaison, and collaboration with affected partnerships.
* You will also supervise AWC staff, Indigenous rangers, and Traditional Owners, working closely with operational staff at other locations.
* Additionally, you will collaborate with AWC's Ecologists to design and deliver effective conservation fire management and measure ecological health.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fire management planning and implementation under supervision.
* Supervise AWC staff, Indigenous rangers, and Traditional Owners.
* Liaise and collaborate with affected partnerships.
* Work closely with operational staff at other locations.
* Collaborate with AWC's Ecologists.
Requirements:
* Qualification in conservation, land management, or fire management.
* Familiarity with GIS software and spatial data management.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in delivering projects in remote locations with diverse stakeholders.
* Prior experience in fire management and/or tropical savannah regions desirable.
