About the Role
As the Head of Special Education Services, you will lead inclusive education practices and support improved learning outcomes for students with disability across the Happy Valley cluster. Reporting to the Principal, you will work collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, families and external agencies to ensure students receive high quality support, reasonable adjustments and targeted interventions aligned with departmental policies and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Special Education Program to provide advice and support for students with disability.
* Support teachers to implement inclusive teaching practices and reasonable adjustments.
* Coordinate targeted intervention and case management for students requiring additional support.
* Support staff to access specialist services, professional development and additional supports.
* Participate in school planning and decision‐making processes.
* Implement and oversee school-wide systems and NCCD processes.
* Build strong partnerships with families, community groups and external agencies.
* Manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve educational goals.
