Job Description
On a day to day basis, you would be expected to:
* Develop and implement HSEQ plans, policies and procedures in accordance with current legislation and standards.
* Conduct safety audits, identify risks, and propose remedial actions.
* Coordinate incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
* Promote a strong HSEQ culture within the company, with a real emphasis on a collaborative HSEQ culture and approach.
* Deliver HSEQ training and awareness programs to staff.
* Conduct regular toolbox talks.
* Prepare and present HSEQ reports to relevant stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
A successful HSEQ Coordinator should have:
* A relevant qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management or a related field.
* Experience in the maritime/marine operations sector whilst preferred is not essential.
* Sound knowledge of HSEQ legislation, standards, and practices.
* Strong ability to engage with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Most importantly, a strong collaborative approach to safety with workers.
