The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineer to join our Newcastle team. As our client portfolio grows across the resources, energy and industrial sectors, this position will help support and expand our engineering and design capabilities. This a great opportunity for a talented and passionate engineer to be part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Our structural team is built from our team's diverse skills and knowledge, which span from design and structural integrity to project management. They collaborate to provide a full suite of Structural Engineering services including Mine & Process Plants, Ports & Loadout Facilities, Aerodrome/Airport Facilities, Modular Accommodation Villages & Housing, Tailings Storage Facilities, Diesel Fuel & LNG Infrastructure, Industrial Facilities, Water Treatment Plants, and Value Engineering.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate resources across projects and support lead engineers in the delegation of tasks and duties to other team members.
* Review designs submitted by leaders and provided design guides and technical expertise if applicable.
* Assist with constructions and commissioning including occasional site- based work as required.
* Utilising broad market network identify business opportunities in the greater marketplace and develop winning strategies and proposals to win work.
Here's what you'll need
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Structural)
* Chartered Status with Engineer's Australia (Desirable)
* Ability to compile technical documents clearly, concisely, logically, and accurately.
* Ability to influence others to think outside the box and thrive by promoting an environment where innovation and continuous learning is encouraged and valued.

Supported by Matt Brown, Operations Manager – East Coast, our local multidisciplinary teams are supporting our East Coast clients through a range of local projects, showcasing our expansion into the Hunter region. Our Newcastle team also integrates and supports the broader works in the West by collaborating with our Perth and Mandurah teams.
