Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manufacturing Manager located in Yatala. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee and lead daily manufacturing operations, including production planning, ensuring quality control, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities also include:
* Ability to manage a manufacturing area with a laser cutter, brake press x 2, a fabrication team of 4-8 and powder coating.
* Ability to manage inbound stock from overseas suppliers including batch checking and unpacking of containers while working with warehouse management.
* Ability to QC items.
* Ability to write procedures and processes from start or modify as processes change.
* Ability to communicate with other managers and staff above and below position.
* High level of computer autonomy and structured ability to manage documentation.
* Low level CAD advantageous.
* Previous engagement with overseas supply, communication with overseas suppliers and overseas factory visits highly desirable.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Production Planning and Production Management to effectively oversee schedules and ensure operational efficiency
* Experience in Quality Control and Manufacturing Operations to maintain high manufacturing standards
* Strong skills in Operations Management to lead teams and improve processes
* Proven leadership and organizational skills to manage manufacturing teams and meet production targets
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with lean and JIT manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
* Prior experience in the automotive or aftermarket sector is advantageous
