We are seeking an experienced HP3 Occupational Therapist to undertake a role within the Allied Health team at Sunnybank Private Hospital. We have a permanent-part time position, minimum 45 hours per fortnight in our Allied Health Department. Flexibility to increase hours dependent on caseload requirements is desirable. Weekday (Monday to Friday) work.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy to wide-ranging diagnostic groups primarily within the rehabilitation ward to inpatients and outpatients
- Assist with the treatment of acute patients across the medical, surgical and CCU wards
- Maximise the occupational performance of patients, adopting a client-centred and goal directed approach
- Participate in program development and quality improvement activities within the Occupational Therapy Department and hospital
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and professional development programs
- Providing support to other Occupational Therapists and/or students

Selection Criteria
- Bachelor in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Post graduate hospital experience is recommended
- Excellent clinical practice skills in rehabilitation
- Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation, time management and self-management skills
- Autonomy in work practice
- Current drivers licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
- Sound knowledge of My Aged Care referrals and processes
- Understanding of NDIS supports and services
- Ability to conduct and provide recommendations based on home/access visits
