Development Assessment Officer
Goulburn, New South Wales is a key location for this role.
* This fixed term role will last approximately 12 months and is linked to a parental leave arrangement. The duration of the role will be dependent upon the current incumbent's return to work plan.
Job Overview
This role is responsible for assessing development and other applications against relevant planning provisions and policies, ensuring compliant and sustainable outcomes. Your main focus will be on evaluating plans to ensure they align with Council's goals and objectives.
Salary and Benefits
A weekly salary between $1,310 – $1,765 dependent upon skills and experience, plus 11.5% superannuation. You will also receive a 35-hour working week, over a 9-day fortnight, as well as flexible and hybrid working arrangements under Council's Flex First Procedure. Additionally, you will have access to individualised hours agreements and various salary packaging options.

Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate plans and applications to ensure compliance with Council's policies and regulations.
* Assess the impact of development proposals on the community and environment.
* Collaborate with other teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
* Provide advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders on planning matters.

You will also require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of organisational and time management skills. You should be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Requirements
