Requirements At its heart, this is a people leadership position - you will provide visible, effective leadership across drainage, road, and infrastructure maintenance teams, building a positive, engaged, and high-performing workforce. You will also ensure services are delivered safely and responsibly, with full compliance to the Road Management Plan, OH&S Act 2004, and other legislative and Council requirements. What You'll Bring/what We Are Looking For Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) with extensive experience leading the delivery of road infrastructure and drainage maintenance. Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary workforce, supporting staff performance and development in a positive environment, with an ability to foster teamwork, resolve conflict constructively, and motivate staff to perform at their best. Proven experience in managing service delivery, projects, contracts, and budgets. Ability to align services with Council's strategic objectives and translate plans into effective operational outcomes. Track record in driving continuous improvement and responding flexibly to changing demands. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and presentations. Skilled in negotiation, consultation, and engaging diverse stakeholders to build cooperation and achieve solutions. What's On Offer A permanent, full-time position, salary from $127,378.47 to $142,362.88 per annum (excluding Super). 26 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/4 weeks of paid parental leave - partner.
