Overview
Manager, Business Services responsible for leading a team delivering financial, stores, procurement, and infrastructure services at the Metropolitan Remand Centre within Corrections Victoria.
Responsibilities
* Plan and manage the quality delivery of financial and stores services to meet agreed corporate and program objectives, service delivery standards, timelines, budgetary outcomes, stakeholder expectations and location needs.
* Undertake ongoing financial reconciliation, reporting and analysis including preparation of monthly budget variance reports, forecasts and ad‐hoc reports.
* Monitor and report on the prison's procurement processes and spend to ensure compliance with relevant DJCS and Corrections Victoria regulations and guidelines.
* Provide advice on a range of financial, accounting, budget, procurement and administrative business services for the Metropolitan Remand Centre.
* Prepare and oversee financial performance monitoring, reconciliation, reporting and analysis for the Centre.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in government finance and excellent knowledge of the application of government accounting and financial legislation, policies, and processes, preferably within a state government environment (or similar).
* Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the application of the Oracle Financial System.
* A qualification in Commerce or Accounting and/or commensurate experience is desirable.
