A repituble organisation is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team on a short-term contract. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who can quickly step in and take ownership of key month-end and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency during a busy period.

- Salary: Competitive daily rate / contract equivalent
The role
As the Accountant, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate month-end results, reconciliations, and analysis, while supporting the wider finance function. You’ll work closely with both operational and commercial teams, providing timely insights and ensuring robust financial controls.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
- Complete inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy of reporting
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities
- Assist with month-end reporting, providing commentary against budget and prior periods
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard
- Support sales and margin analysis, highlighting key drivers of performance
- Provide accounts payable support and maintain robust financial processes
About you
- Qualified accountant, or working towards (CA/CPA or equivalent)
- Proven month-end experience in a complex environment
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
