We are seeking an experienced and motivated Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to lead the development and growth of our philanthropic support, corporate partnerships, sponsorships and donor engagement initiatives.
The role will identify and cultivate new supporters, steward existing relationships and coordinate proposals and agreements in line with our priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for you to combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery, to help shape and deliver fundraising and partnership strategies that directly contribute to the success and sustainability of our research and mission.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Development and Communications, you will play a key role in identifying, securing and managing philanthropic partnership opportunities across a diverse range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement philanthropy and partnership strategies
* Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships
* Manage donor and stakeholder relationships to ensure strong engagement and retention
* Prepare high-quality funding submissions, sponsorship proposals and partnership agreements
* Coordinate fundraising campaigns, events and donor stewardship activities
* Monitor and report on partnership outcomes and fundraising performance
* Maintain accurate donor and partnership records within relevant systems
* Collaborate across teams to identify funding priorities and opportunities
* Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, events and networking opportunities
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Proven experience in fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships or business development
* Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
* Excellent written communication and proposal writing capability
* Ability to develop strategic opportunities and convert them into sustainable partnerships
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* High levels of professionalism, initiative and discretion
* Experience using CRM systems or database to manage contacts, pipelines and reporting.
* Experience working within the not-for-profit, research, health, education or community sectors will be highly regarded
