Job Overview:
The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Manager, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of patient tray requests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Answer phone calls in a courteous manner and document all requests into the computer program.
* Dispatch requests to the Service Delivery staff in order of priority.
* Monitor the progress of deliveries and request additional help as needed.
* Ensure food customer service by directing the completion of delivery of all requests and following up whenever necessary.
* Document patient-related information in the Cardfile and accurately assign diet codes.
* Train new employees and interns on daily functions of the Call Center.
* Maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
* Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work quickly under pressure and prioritize tasks.
* Strong computer and typing skills.
* Ability to lift 30 pounds and push carts throughout the hospital.
* Familiarity with food service experience and HIPAA laws preferred.
