Medical Receptionist / Assistant (Casual)

We are seeking a warm, reliable and customer-focused Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing team at K1 Eyes in Tamworth. This is a casual role supporting our increasing patient workload alongside our existing reception team.
This position would suit someone who enjoys working with people, values professionalism, and is looking for a meaningful and flexible role in a healthcare setting.
About the Role
You will be an important part of our front-of-house team, helping ensure every patient feels welcomed, supported, and well cared for.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Welcoming patients and visitors in a friendly, calm and professional manner
* Handling phone, email and in-person enquiries
* Booking appointments and managing the clinic diary
* Entering and maintaining accurate patient records
* Supporting the clinical team with smooth patient flow
* General administration (filing, scanning, stock checks, etc.)
* Opening and closing the practice when required
* Maintaining a clean and organised reception and waiting area
Employment conditions are in accordance with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027] and applicable legislation.
The role requires flexibility within a rotating roster between Weekdays and occasional Saturdays.

Experience in healthcare, reception, customer service or administration is valued but not essential — training will be provided.
