Your Opportunity: Provide a high-level medical imaging service to the Fraser Coast in the areas of general radiography, medical ultrasound, Computerised Tomography (CT), specialised procedural radiography, mobile and operating theatre radiography. What we're looking for: Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical expertise in ultrasound, general radiography, operating theatre radiography and Computed Tomography. Demonstrated experience and high level knowledge of contemporary ultrasound equipment, systems, techniques, and applications. Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision and to accepted standards of professional conduct and a demonstrated commitment to professional development. Demonstrated possession of a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work within a multidisciplinary health care team and to contribute to its goals and objectives. An understanding of, agreement with and commitment to upholding the mission, aims and values of Queensland Health and their application to this position. Understanding of quality improvement processes and human resource management issues including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination. Preferred Qualifications: Mandatory possession of a tertiary qualification in Applied Science or equivalent in Medical Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging or Medical Radiation Science from a registered tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Licensed with the Radiation Health Division. Radiographer/Sonographers working within Queensland Health must maintain dual modality accreditation/registration in order to remain employed under the Health Practitioners and Dental Officers (Queensland Health) Award – State 2015 - Health Practitioner Stream. It is also a requirement to: Hold a Postgraduate or Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Medical Ultrasound (General). Hold status as Accredited Medical Sonographer (General) with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR). Licensed with the Radiation Health Division. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $118,020 p.a., comprising salary between $96,126 - $103,438 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Part Time, 57 hours p.f.)
