KINNECT is currently seeking a passionate Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to relocate to Mackay, QLD, Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity for our New Zealand friends to join a first-class Australian rehabilitation provider and build a meaningful career — and life — in Australia. As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant at KINNECT, you’ll play a key role in delivering tailored, client-centred services that empower individuals to re-engage in meaningful work. You’ll be promoting optimal health, recovery, and well-being through evidence-based practice and personal connection. No two days are the same in this diverse and rewarding role. The real reward? Your duties will include: Assessing injured workers to determine the best strategies for facilitating their return to work. Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured workers may face and educating employers on injury prevention. Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing. Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work. In addition to rehabilitation services, you will partner with various organisations to deliver a range of other services, such as: Conducting pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing. Developing job dictionaries. Performing manual task risk assessments. Leading interactive manual handling training and implementing stretching and warm-up programs. Conducting ergonomic assessments in the workplace, home, and vehicle settings. About You Exercise Physiologist- To gain ESSA registration in Australia as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), you will need a master’s degree in clinical Exercise Physiology (or equivalent), including supervised clinical placement hours that meet ESSA’s accreditation requirements. Physiotherapist - If you hold current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, you are eligible to apply for AHPRA registration in Australia under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement (TTMRA) — making the transition simple and efficient. Occupational Therapist- To be eligible for AHPRA registration in Australia, you must be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (OTBNZ). This is also supported under the TTMRA framework. Additional Skills and Experience Experience working within ACC (New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Scheme) is highly desirable Strong analytical and clinical report writing skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities Proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients from diverse backgrounds High level of professional documentation and report writing proficiency Ready to Apply If this opportunity resonates with you, don't hesitate to apply now!
