Job Opportunity: Senior Financial Manager
Job Description:
The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior financial manager to lead the development and implementation of financial management, purchasing and supply strategies, projects, policies and practices for the effective management of the department's resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement financial management and procurement systems and strategies that enable the department to deliver safe, efficient, effective and high-quality patient care.
* Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the development of relevant financial information, timely budgeting, planning and financial reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Health Board and Secretary.
* Lead a significant and geographically dispersed financial management program, with a strong track record of success in leading financial management initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting and membership of either CPA Australia or the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
* Exceptional qualities in leadership, collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
