About the Job
atWork Australia is seeking a skilled professional to fill a permanent, full-time position as a Health Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments of job seekers with complex barriers to employment, providing counselling intervention and referrals to external support services, and collaborating with medical professionals and community agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with diverse disabilities and barriers to employment;
* Offer individualised support and guidance to assist candidates in achieving their goals;
* Provide ongoing case management and evaluation of progress;
* Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of support services;
* Develop and implement tailored interventions to address specific barriers to employment;
* Maintain accurate records and reports to meet organisational requirements.
Requirements:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in psychology or a related field;
* Eligibility for registration with APHRA or membership with ACA/PACFA;
* Experience working within employment services or a related field (desired but not essential);
* Demonstrated knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention strategies;
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills;
* Proven ability to work effectively with diverse client groups and stakeholders;
* Able to provide a Police Clearance and Work with Children's Check (within 6 months).
