The OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our supportive team based in Yalata, QLD. Reporting to the General Manager Group Development, the successful candidate will work closely with the sales and design departments, along with strategic business partners. Driving primary demand via project tracking and securing designs for current and future projects will be critical to the role, as well as developing relationships with Commercial Builders, Architects and Engineers.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Achievement of sales budget and KPI’s – includes new product growth.Actively source project specificationsProvide design support to customers, architects, engineers, and internal sales staff.Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.Provide technical support to both direct and indirect customers.Work collaboratively with Rondo management and other departments by providing ideas and suggestionsEnforce and follow WH&S, quality, and environmental procedures.Working knowledge of Australian and other design codes (AS1170 series, AS4600 etc.)Site inspections to ensure systems have been installed as per design external and internal wall and ceiling designs for customers from project register.
The Successful CandidateTo be successful in this role you will be a strong team player with a can-do attitude. You will have a background in the commercial construction sector and a demonstrated track record in technical sales and/or presales achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition to the above ideally you will have:Experience in Civil or Structural EngineeringRelevant bachelor’s degree with 3 years of design experience.Knowledge of light gauge roll formed steel products and their design (highly regarded)Ability to understand building systems and construction drawings. Advanced communication skills with strong attention to detailExperience with MS Windows, Excel, and AutoCAD / Revit (desirable).
