The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) provides essential corporate functions to the Northern Territory Government, enabling agencies to focus on their core business. Workforce Services deliver centralised human resources services to client agencies across a geographically and culturally diverse environment. Workforce Services has three work areas; Workforce Operations and Partnerships, Workforce Management and Workforce Development.
As a participant in the HR training program, you will complete a fully paid 6-month on-the-job training program tailored to provide you with the practical workplace and HR administrative skills necessary to prepare for a career in HR.
Your on-the-job training will incorporate structured eLearning, mentoring and classroom training designed to develop your ability to provide effective HR administrative support to Workforce Service Officers and client agency staff. Your day to day responsibilities include; undertaking compliance checks, responding to client enquiries, record management and gathering data to support the preparation and production of HR and Workforce Services correspondence and actions.
To be successful you require a willingness to develop a career in HR, demonstrate sound interpersonal and communication skills, and have proven experience delivering quality customer service. General administrative skills and computer literacy and the aptitude to understand workplace procedures and employment legislation is essential.
Located in Manunda Place, Darwin, (with options to be based in our regional teams in Katherine or Alice Springs for successful candidates) you will work alongside a supportive and inspiring team, be rewarded with a generous pro-rata remuneration package consisting of; 12% superannuation, leave entitlements and loading, and receive structured training and mentoring that will allow you to further develop a career in HR.
