Job Title: Trade Facilities Maintenance Manager
This role is responsible for overseeing trade facilities maintenance activities and ensuring productivity, efficiency, and commercial objectives are met.
The successful candidate will have the ability to supervise, coach, instruct, and encourage team members as part of a cohesive unit. They will also be expected to help inmates improve their work skills, enhance post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to service/business unit objectives.
* Key Responsibilities:
* SUPERVISE AND DEVELOP INMATES BY MANAGING, COACHING, INSTRUCTING AND ENCOURAGING THEM AS PART OF A TEAM.
* HELP THEM IMPROVE THEIR WORK SKILLS, ENHANCE THEIR POST-RELEASE EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS, AND CONTRIBUTE PRODUCTIVELY TO SERVICE/BUSINESS UNIT OBJECTIVES.
* OVERSEE TEAM ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE PRODUCTIVITY, EFFICIENCY AND OTHER COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVES ARE ACHIEVED.
* MET ALL WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFETY, QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIREMENTS.
* MANAGE TRADE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES EFFECTIVELY TO MEET BUSINESS NEEDS.
* ENSURE ALL MAINTENANCE WORK IS CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Essential Requirements:
* CURRENT CERTIFICATE III IN CORRECTIONAL PRACTICE OR THE CAPACITY TO COMPLETE IT WITHIN CSNSW TIMEFRAMES.
* CURRENT NSW DRIVER LICENCE AND WILLINGNESS TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WHILE PERFORMING THE ROLE.
* RELEVANT TRADE QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM CERTIFICATE III WITH POST-TRADE EXPERIENCE IN CARPENTRY, BUILDING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, PLUMBING OR OTHER BUILDING MAINTENANCE RELATED TRADES.
